Georgetown students plan Charlie Kirk 'lookalike contest' on anniversary of his assassination

Students at Georgetown University are allegedly planning a Charlie Kirk "lookalike contest" for the anniversary of the conservative activists assassination, with the event drawing thousands of upvotes at the elite , campus, according to screenshots shared with Fox News Digital from the schools Turning Point USA chapter.

The Sept. 10 event was promoted on Fizz, an anonymous social media platform popular with Georgetown students, where the initial announcement received more than 2,200 upvotes. Georgetown's undergraduate population is roughly 6,000.

The post that received 2,200 upvotes read, "Charlie Kirk lookalike contest. September 10th 2026. Pull up to Copley Lawn to speak the truth while the cost is high."

Georgetown's TPUSA chapter said members believe the slogan "pull up to Copley Lawn and speak the truth while the cost is high" is likely a mocking statement.

Copley Lawn is an area right outside the school's most iconic landmark, Healy Hall, which resembles a castle.

The responded by setting up a table on campus with American flags, stickers and signs condemning the planned event, according to the group.

According to posts on the Fizz app, there has also been an look-alike contest discussed, with someone commenting, "Can the winner of the Charlie Kirk one be prom king with the winner of this?"

The group says that they are not sure who started the calls for the lookalike contest, but believe it was first brought up on Fizz, which they say is the most popular anonymous platform used by Georgetown students. According to the group, users must be affiliated with Georgetown University in order to log into Georgetown's Fizz as it requires a "@georgetown.edu" email address.

One Fizz user appeared to suggest The Georgetown Chimes, a choral group at the school, sing a Charlie Kirk meme song, "We Are Charlie Kirk" writing, "Any chance Gtown Chimes could learn this before Thursday?"

The song, thought to be AI-generated, was released shortly after Kirk's assassination in Utah.

Another post, shared on the Georgetown Fizz account, read, "Happy Kirkiversary, September 10th, on Healy Lawn," and included what appeared to be an AI-generated image of Kirk, and included the phrases,
"Georgetown University," "Honoring leadership, inspiring truth," and "Charlie Kirk lookalike contest."
