Bills' Dion Dawkins sparks intense debate after picking up his dog's poop on practice field

A fun thing about the internet is that you can hop online hoping to find the news, stock tips or just videos of people getting hurt on trampolines, and wind up pondering deep, complex questions.

Stuff like whether it's okay to let your dog rip a deuce on an NFL practice field.

Well, thanks to a video making the rounds of Buffalo Bills offensive tackle Dion Dawkins doing some poop-scooping, the lines have been drawn for a ferocious online debate.

In the clip, Dawkins shuffles out onto the field with no shirt, a pair of Crocs and a clear plastic bag ready to get the ol' inside-out treatment.

First of all, stellar technique. He got all of it and then did a few swipes with the bag just so everyone watching knows he went the extra mile.

I do that too when my dog decides to pay the band in someone's front yard while they're standing there washing the car.

I will have to deduct some points for the clear bag. That's not ideal. You want whatever is in there to be out of sight and out of mind.

But the question became whether it is okay to let your dog drop its payload on an practice field.

It's complicated. On one hand, I think, "Well, where else is the dog supposed to go? In the quarterbacks' room?"

But on the other hand, some poor receiver is going to lay out for a pass and go skidding through the ghost of digested Purina.

It's a tough one, right?

Football fields are nasty to begin with, so if you think the dog poo is sullying an otherwise squeaky-clean surface, I've got news for you.

But maybe next time, take the dog outside the facility and then fling the leavings over the fence into the neighbor's yard like the rest of us.
