MLW rising star LaBron Kozone set for grudge match against Joe Coffey, talks Teddy Long inspiration

LaBron Kozone wasnt about to stand for Joe Coffey and the Glasgow Boys on Top taking out Teddy Long during a recent (MLW) event.

at MLW Blood & Thunder that he was the one who took out Long. Kozone, who sees Long as one of his mentors, came out with a chair to confront Coffey and needed to be held back. The heated rivalry between the two pro wrestlers is set to explode in the ring on Saturday during MLW "Fusion."

Kozone told Fox News Digital he owed Coffey some payback.

"Just to do just that, just to make old boy suffer," he said in a recent interview. "You know, initially, I had a lot of respect for him. His talent, his work ethic, what he's done, the people he's affected, but that's crossing the line. So, yeah, he's going to he's going to get it."

When Long made an appearance at MLW, he dubbed Kozone "the next big thing for MLW."

"Teddy was an inspiration to me, what he represents in the industry, everything that he's done," Kozone said. "And then to have him acknowledge me in that way and to endorse me in that way, that means the world to me."

Kozone was one of MLWs top free-agent signings and started his time there defeating Okumura before going on to beat Alan Angels.

Now, hes trying to dispatch Coffey and move on to getting some gold around his waist.

"Championships, world titles," he told Fox News Digital when asked whats next for him after the Coffey feud. "That's what I'm here for. I'm here to be the top guy in MLW. I 100% feel like I can be that guy. I feel like I can carry the company to higher heights.

"I feel like I do represent a new breed in MLW, which has been the selling point here recently that's been getting a lot of talks about MLW in a positive way. So, championships. Its where championships is where the money is, and I'm here to put on and provide."
